Eastern Europe, here we come!

Eastern Europe, here we come!

It will soon be easier to get to the Middle East from Eastern Europe thanks to Qatar Airways. The national airline of the Persian Gulf country announced that it will soon be expanding its air service to Bucharest in Romania and Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria.

Currently Qatar Airways offers service to Bucharest-Sofia five times each week. Beginning on October 1 there will be seven flights into those popular Eastern European capitals.

CEO of the Doha-based airline Akbar Al Baker said:

“Bucharest-Sofia has been an extremely popular route for those traveling to and from Europe. The additional two frequencies will help meet the demand the airline has for this particular route. Europe in particular, is an extremely popular destination for a number of our passengers, especially those in East Asia and we are pleased to be able to continue to offer more options to those looking to travel with us and enjoy our five-star service.”
